“Boulder Students Protest “God” in Pledge”-Mike McPee-The Denver Post
This article is about kids in Boulder High School and how thy want to protest to saying “one nation under God.” They protested during the first hour class and said they “ object to hearing the phrase one nation under God.” I think that the kids are very brave bring this protest to the school. I believe that God has created us and everything in this world. If kids think this is wrong o say then I think they should try to bring it up to the president or governor. This is a big deal to my school at Arapahoe High School because we believe that we should all say the Pledge of Allegiance together as a school. I do not understand why kids would want to protest over a little issue like this. Why would they not bring up some other issue that is in the school at this time? However, I do think that every person has a right to what they believe and if they want to practice it this way then they can do that but I would say that they should not make it a big issue when it is really not that big of a deal.

I Went Flat Last Night
“I Went Flat Last Night”- Dave Warlick- 2¢’s Worth
This article stood out to me very much when I started to read it. It is like one of our everyday happenings with technology today. Something happens in the computer and the connection does not work any more. This is exactly what happened to Dave Warlick. He was getting ready for a conference in Sydney. He got everything ready and it was all working when he went to bed. The connection was great, sound, video working and his PowerPoint presentation slides all ready to go for the conference. So he went to bed for two hours and woke up ready for the conference. However, when he woke up he could not use the PowerPoint presentation. He could not control the slides! Therefore, he talked to his office manger in on the conference and he said that his connection had been lost and he is kicked off the program. I realize that you cannot always rely on technology especially when you need it to work for you most. I think we have talked about this in class the technology is the future of our world whether it is in the classroom or at home or in the business industry. It will be are way of life in 20-40 years. However, I do not think that we can always rely on technology for us. This story/situation has happened in my life and maybe even yours. You are up late doing a project or a paper and all of a sudden, you notice that your printer is not working and you cannot login into your email to send it to our self. You start to think what can I do, and think and think even more. Nothing comes to your mind besides that it is 12:00 am, you need to get to bed and print the paper. I know everyone has had these nights. (I can say I have had multiple times when this has happened to me.) Therefore, you decide to save it to you computer and see if you can either send it to yourself or even print it when you wake up tomorrow. You go to bed and wake up the next morning hoping that you can print it but you notice that you computer has crashed overnight. You are so worried that you are not going to turn in your biggest paper every. Therefore, you get on the computer and go to the documents hoping that the paper had saved before the computer crashed! You are so happy when you see that is had saved and you can final print it. However, my point is that technology may be the next big thing in life but there is always a point when you cannot always rely on it.

To Avoid Return to Irag, Solider Arranged to Be Shot-World
“To Avoid Return to Iraq, Soldier Arranged to Be Shot”- New York Times- Sewell Chan
This title caught my eye when I saw it, and thought it was very interesting! To Avoid Return to Iraq, Soldier Arranged to Be Shot. Writing for The New York Times is Sewell Chan. The article talks about how a solider said he got shot in a robbery so that he would not have to go back to the Army because he was hurt. When really he paid someone to shot him so he would not have to go back to work in the Army. He was charged on conspiracy and an illegal gun possession offense, his wife who was in on it, is charged with false reporting and incident. This matters to me because when I here these things in the news that just makes me think that the Army is not very fun, and when people are paying others to shoot them to get them out of it, it makes me want to never be on the Army. This same aspect also relates to the world because when others read this and are trying to make a decision whether to do something they will change their mind by stories like this. In addition, if other countries read it then they will think that are Army is going down in strength and will not be able to fight as well.

A Conversation about Wikipedia
“A Conversation about Wikipedia”- Dave Warlick- 2¢’s Worth
This feed is very interesting to me. The title is A Conversation about Wikipedia. It is talking about, whether to use the source Wikipedia. David Warlick asks if he should use Wikipedia for history on a quote for a paper. He thinks that from everyone that has talked to him, thinks it is a bad source to use for information. However, David wanted to ask people what they thought of using Wikipedia. I think that using Wikipedia is good for a start on something, but would use better sources for more in-depth things. This matters to me because, possible I could use Wikipedia for my research too and I would not know if it is correct information. However, as I read on Wikipedias website, that every thing is read over by Wikipedia authors. This is a solution to make people use the website but I believe that it is still not a good place for all your research, but for maybe a start on something. I also believe that this can apply to class because if we are doing a project with research then I know whether to use Wikipedia. This article can also relate to the world. This could be that a college student could be working on writing something and use this information, it would be wrong, and he could not get what he was writing right. In addition, if someone is looking information on stocks, how to trade them and he looks on Wikipedia, and goes out and tries the way that it said and does even worse.
